Nicholas Kristof of the New York Times has a way of writing on subjects I can never quite articulate the way I want. So instead of attempting just that, I would like to share these article with you regarding two issues very important to me.

When I was about to email these articles to just about every person I know, I decided it would be better to just post them on my blog. Now, those of you who see me on a daily basis know how many articles I read a day (a lot), so the fact that these two are worth mentioning is significant. The author, Chris Hedges, is one of the only contemporary journalists who speaks without bias to the right or left, without allegiance to any party or institution, and who is truly a voice crying out in the wilderness for America.
